IPMS National Convention Pheonix, Arizona

Hi all, I was just wondering who is going to be attending the IPMS National convention in Pheonix this summer, and I was wondering what you would bring to the contest. I am planning on bringing my sewer rats dio, my 1/48 hetzer, a figure, and a P-40 tiger shark that I am working on now.

I am pretty sure I will be there.I do not plan to bring any models for display/competition at this time. It will be my first model convention and I just want to see it and buy stuff from the vendors.

Hey guys,

Matt Usher and I will be at the IPMS Nats in August. Anyone else planning on going? If so stop by our photo booth in the contest room and say g'day. We love to talk modeling. We'll be taking pictures of models for the magazine so if you have something entered keep an eye out for one of are cards next to you model.

See you in Phoenix!

Cheers, Aaron

The 2011 show is going to be in Omaha, NE (my hometown).  Won't know the dates until the Phoenix convention.

Thanks. I knew  the dates wasn't known yet but I was just wondering where it might be.  Hmm an easy eight hour drive for me next year. I may have to see about that one

Dates were set when the convention bid was awarded last year.   First week of August,  beginning Wednesday the 3rd through Saturday.

I'll be there with a few armor models, just three and a half hours down the hill from me.

I live just a fifteen minute drive from the convention center, so I'll certainly be there!

By the way, I forgot to mention, if you come over to Phoenix today or tomorrow, you're welcome to attend our monthly club meeting at IPMS Craig Hewitt Tuesday 7PM. It's easy to find--it's at the (I think) VFW building about a half-mile south of I-10 on 7th Avenue (not 7th Street--watch that!) on the west side. Simply look for the very tall flagpole (which used to have a giant flag but the last meeting or two, they seem to be using just a regular sized flag).

I was there today and saw both your "Sewer Rats" diorama, as well as your P-40 Tigershark.  I was looking at the aircraft, and when I saw that one, I thought "that looks familiar...?", then I remembered that I saw your pics of it on here a few days ago.  Good luck Ryan!
