Scottish National Model Show 2014 (Pics)
Posted by SAS007 on Thursday, May 8, 2014 6:02 PM

Hi all :)

Just had another great weekend last week here in Perth for the Scottish Nationals.
As usual went mad with the camera and took some pictures (only 541 :o) before camera ran out of charge.
So for all those who couldn't make it and those who forgot their camera,

A folding wing A-10? Quite imaginative! Looked like a great show, thanks for sharing!

Checked out all the pictures, must say a huge show!

The club theme builds were a show in themselves, impressive scope and skill displayed.

3 models that stood out to me were:

-The Star Wars X-Wing fighter pulling away from the Death Star. The blurred forced perspective was done perfectly.

-The WWI trench cut-away showing the officer's living conditions vrs. the soldiers out in the mud. Very clever and well executed.

-The amount of scratch built figure busts and the quality. One that I liked was the Harrison Ford - Indiana Jones bust with the gold idol.

Thanks for posting, it would be interesting to see the tally of models entered? - 1000+? Also I know its not practical but if the information sheet with the models scale + extra work was shown in the picture it would be interesting as well.
