I'm feeling much better.  Right now I'm doing a EEG home monitored scan.  Wires all over me with cameras in every room.  I've been having seizures, not a good thing.  But I'm hanging in there!  I hope to be back soon.  Thank you for checking in on me!

Yes it did.  They almost put me in the hospital.  But I asked the Doctor not to.  The Doctor said I would need to get better in a week or else.  I'm just glad the antibiotics helped me.

So now my job is to chill out and do nothing.  Oh well.  Thank you so much for your caring words for me to get better.  It's greatly appreciate it!

This really hit you hard. I wish you a speedy recovery with lots of rest. Just when you think you feel better you start doing things only to run out of steam half way thru. There will be time for the rest later but for now, vegetating is best.

My best wishes to you and your daughter, I'm glad and very pleased you're home now.  I'm not 100% healed yet and am very frustrated as I've never been sick this long.  Currently I have a hard time breathing and I cannot get rid of this cough.  My Doctor said to give it another month of rest and recuperation.  Thank you so very much for your concerns!

Best Wishs, for a speedy recovery. Walking pneumonia, like any pneumonia, is not fun. Take your time recovering - its going to take longer than you will want it to anyway. I have been in your situation and it was not even remotely fun.  Follow your doctors orders and listen to your wife; they know better than you -no matter how well you think you feel.

Thank you for the well wishes!  I'm still not 100% ready to do anything so I am listening to the doctors orders as well as Mrs. Toshi.  Thank you again.

Toshi

I know it can take awhile to get over that, so rest easy bud. Me and my daughter just got home from the hospital yesterday(Wednesday) been there since Feb. 17 and I'm just now starting to get caught up on things.

M. Brindos

So how much longer til you're building again, my friend?

A two room condo sounds spacious compared to my current domicile lol.

I am looking forward to seeing you start a new thread soon.  :)

Thank you for checking in with me.  I'm currently in bed rest with walking pneumonia.  I'll start to finish my lightning when I feel better.

To Hodakamax,

A lot of my models are donated to several VFW's.  The vets really appreciate it as well as I enjoy sharing my builds with them.  I do like your ideas!  Thank you my friend.

Toshi, you do good work and your models should be seen by more people. There are places to publicly display things, our public library in my case, the local airport teminal being another. I once remodeled my Office/Museum once and the Public Library had many display cases and let me display them for six weeks.

You do have a fine collection and public temporary display can solve part of the problem and also be rewarding for you and the viewers. Something to think about! Kids like me like to see things like this on display!

Hey Toshi !

Got a weird idea . Can you make safety nets like on a carrier ? You could do the deck edge of a Generic Bird-Farm and swing the nets out from there over the edge of the opening . That way the danger of falling is mittigated . What do you think ?

I think that's a good idea and I'll definately look into it with Mrs. Toshi!

As you see below, here are some photos in regards to placement of my model kits.  I actually donated four kits (Revell 1/48 B-25 Mitchell, Tamiya 1/48 Mosquito, and due to my TBI, I forgot what the other two kits were) to two handymen on our property as they are always helping me with things not related to repair work on the property.  Other than that, I found a way to make all the kits fit and still have room for many more.

The display I chose to utilize is something FSM forum members have described as well as seeing this being done on FSM magazine.

Dayum !

Toshi , I had no Idea that you were such a prolific modeler . All very well done though .You look like you're getting settled in though ! Good on you ! T.B. P.S. Is that short (railing / wall ? ) the opening for a stairway ? If so , maybe you better fasten those models down so they don't fall into the canyon ?

It's just shows how much of a passion I have for the hobby.  I so enjoy the building of kits!  Yes, yes, and yes.  They are a railing, wall, and a staircase.  LOL!  If they fall into the canyon, Mrs. Toshi said she'll buy me more kits!  LOL!

WannabeFarmboy

I do not envy you in the slightest, buddy. When I was born, my dad was in the army (I was actually born at Walter Reed in D.C.), and he later became a preacher. So, I've seen my fair share of moves. My last move put me somewhere around 25 total. Granted, that includes moves across town and such, but still! The new setup/display looks great though, Toshi.

I know the feeling.  I left home at 16 as wanting to be a jazz musician.  I moved so much in six years.  All over the US and Northern Europe.  I did this as a young single guy so it was more of an adventure as well as being fun.  LOL!

Thank you for your comment on my new setup/display!

Greg

patrick206

...I'm glad to learn of your plans, the forums would seem less fun if you didn't show up every day. Keep 'em coming......

It's hard to explain how strongly I agree with Patrick. The life and positive attitude you bring to this place is a big deal to me, and I'll bet I'm not alone feeling that way, Toshi.

So glad to hear your move is coming along, and that you have firm plans for a model building center. I've gotten back to doing some modeling again (thanks to you, in part, for the inspiration), and from time to time as I rearrange junk on my building mat for space to do something, (though I have a total of 16 x 3 feet of completely cluttered bench space), I think of you and your smaller space, realising it doesn't matter and you'll be fine. Smile

Go give Mrs Toshi a big hug right now, while you are thinking of it.

Greg, you are too kind!  Your words brought tears to my eyes!  The move was hectic at best and the new condo looks like a bomb exploded in the middle of the living room.  LOL!  I actually have a little more room than I thought I would have.  I'll have photos once my area gets situated.  Greg, thank you for your support you've given me from the start.
