FuzzDad

I had my 1/32 Zoukei-Mura at the Richmond Old Dominion Open today & it won 2d place in class. Someone from your magazine left a "We'd like to Photograph your Model" form by my model...but crossed out the "...FSM Photo Area" line.  Most of the people I talked to didn't know what to do w/forms.  I'd be glad to let you either take photos or use the ones I'm pretty sure your photographer took.

The quick answer is that we weren't at this show, and we don't know who was. We didn't send anyone local to cover it.

However, if the show does have photos that it would like to submit for a gallery, we would be more than happy to review them. We don't accept table shots, so the models would have to have a clean sweep behind them, be in focus, and well lighted.

Thanks,

TK

Congratulations on your impressive achievement at the Richmond Old Dominion Open! It sounds like your 1/32 Zoukei-Mura model made an impact, earning a well-deserved 2nd place in its class.

Hey Now!

That model looks pretty darned good to me. I think it needs a shave though, LOL,LOL, those Whiskers, usually get broken off before of after the show. Good job!

bitlife Congratulations on winning 2nd place at the Richmond Old Dominion Open! It's a significant achievement to have your 1/32 Zoukei-Mura model recognized in such a manner.

Thank you...it was a real PITA to build. I like to call it my worst, best build ever. If interested there's a partial build log here: www.fdmodels.net

Hey FuzzDad,

I was there and saw your model.  It was truly a champion.  Loved the paint job, the perfect glass and the antennae.  Very good job.

I am not affiliated with FSM or photography, just wanted to tell you the model was great.

Appreciate the response. However...there was no table for them that we could find...the forms were put on right before the announcement of the winners, the line about leaving the completed form at the booth was crossed out, and a rumor went along to leave them on the table...but as they were annoucing the winners the tables were being picked up.  And..rather than leaving my home address, telephone number and other particulars for the world to see on a table that was being picked up, I picked up the form and went home w/it after the show. Also...I can't contact Customer Support because the web page has been down as they move to a new site. lol...I guess it's pretty close to a Catch 22.

Hi and congrats!

When Tim, Aaron, and/or myself photograph shows we place the forms by the models we want to photograph. We have the modeler fill out the form and bring it to us when they bring their model to our table for photos. If they don't have the form filled out already, we ask the modeler to fill it out while we take the pictures. We use the forms to write descriptions for the show galleries that go up on our website.

I can't speak on whether the process is the same for other photographers, but I would suggest filling out the form and either leaving it with your model, or, if you know who is taking the pictures for FSM for that show, you can ask what they would like you to do with the form.

Hope this helps!
