The bids for 2010 will be heard/awarded in Virginia Beach in August of 2008. According to the location schedule 2010 will be in the western regions. The bid for 2011 will be awarded in 2009, in Columbus, Ohio. This convention will be in the east. 2012 will be held in the central area, and bids will be heard in 2010.
The convention was last held in the Chicago area (Rosemont) in 2001.
If you want to have the show in your hometown, you need to talk it up among your local club members and prepare a plan; location, dates, hotel, etc. It is something which you will need to begin within the next year. When we put on the convention in Dallas in 2000 we placed the bid in 1998 - and had worked on it for a year before that
