You need a newsgroup reader. I know Outlook Express (and I guess Outlook) can access newsgroups. Or there are many other newsreader programs you can use. My favorite is Forte Agent (I prefer the old version 2). You have to set up the program by knowing the news server name, for example news.optonline.net and how to log on. This info. should be on your providers web page.

Its worth the effort, there are thousands of newsgroups............

Mine is the bf110 Wespe in the gray splinter camo. I also had a Ho229 that won third prize in the 1/48 jets category - first time I won anything at a modeling show, so I was a happy camper.

I also have pics from the 5 of the last 6 mosquitocons if you are interested (missed last year's) ...

Those guys always put on a great show, but the vendors seems a bit sparse this year and most of them were not really offering any discounts over what you can get at your LHS or online. So I didn't wind up buying anything, even though I stopped by the ATM before hand and had cash burning a hole in my pocket!

Beautiful !!! It was one of my faves, I took many pics of it. I wish I could have moved it a bit, but I didn't dare. I would love to build one, but I have a Gekko and an HS 129 in que. How about them submarines ? I wish I could fit them all in one shot, (I'm a newb photographer).

I have been to the last 7 Mosquitocons in Wayne. I have pics from all of them, except in 2002 (my first attendance) I only took about 50 pics.  After that I started to take hundreds of pics Wink [;)].

I will post last years show on PBucket. I got some good ones. As soon as I have them up, I will post a link. I have been posting them in the newsgroups, but I guess not to many people here use them. If you don't mind, I may have some requests of particular models that I would like to see pics of. I started to check out your site, did you compress the pics for uploading ? Here is a link to my site  http://www.geocities.com/irreverence9/   Its a newbie site, with some pics of my attemps at woodworking. (follow the shelves and spray booth links)

I also have pics from the USAF Museum in Ohio, and NEAM in CT. I hope to have them all up on PBucket one day. (my site on geocities has no room left) This weekend will be busy though, there is a WWII show in York, and my birthday party on Saturday Smile [:)]

I purchased two Has. FW-190 kits for $30 from a vendors private collection at the show.

Ohh, and I got an early birthday present from the woman - a Nikon D60. It has more buttons on it than I know what to do with !

So look out ! I can't wait for next year's show !!!

Thanks for your kind words. I have that Gekko kit too waiting in my stash.

Those sub were amazing! And I don't even build ships.

I've posted all my pics on my site, however if you want the pic in their original higher res, just let me know and I'll send them to you. As for my pics, their were resized using Picaso. Its a free photo organizer from Google, its fast and cheap, they have a web page export feature which will automatically generate thumbnails and resize the pics to your specs. I then modify the webpage they generate and integrate into my site. Fast and simple.

I checked out your site, great display case and spray booth you've built. I'm a failed wood worker myself.

The USAF museum was fantastic, I was there about 7-8 years back before I had a good digital pictures. So it would be great to see your pics.

Happy Birthday this weekend.

I upped them to Photobucket, check them out there, much easier.

But if you want to explore newsgroups, I would suggest Forte Agent, I prefer the old version 2.0

If you can't find it, LMK. You will have to type in your providers news server name, and if you need a password, that also. The first time you launch a file (a picture for example) (I just highlight it and hit the L key) it will ask you to associate a program to launch the file with. I use Acdsee, a picture viewer but you can use any viewer. Also, you can arrange the posts in the newsgroup by time added, or author. If you sort them by author, all of mine will be together.
