Buying a kit to collect and not build is like buying a sports car and parking her in the garage and never driving her.

What's the point of having it if you're not going to enjoy it!?!

I guess to some people the having is the enjoying but I guess it's hard for me to see.

Tank, building these darned things is the only thing in my life other than books that has allowed me to turn hours to minutes. We touch something we otherwise couldn't. That's a good place to be.

It's not about how fast you get there or even where you're going. It's whether you enjoy the ride.

PLASTIC and it's USES

HMMM :

I have all these little thingys called kits .Do I build um' or let them subtly age and hopefully become rare and valuable. No , I will build them , adding all the little bits that bring them to life . I have to ask , why do we do this ?

I think the answer is really simple .We have this ability to relive , in our minds , a little history as we build them . This is one reason . Then there's the ones in our crowd that see a model part in the most odd configurations of packaging and found stuff .

I personally cannot look at a "bubble pack " or some such , without seeing a "bubble top " for a car or moon or mars exploration vehicle .AAH , that's where that " KING TIGER " chassis went ! Now let's see , the other day I got these BIG sheets of EVERGREEN plastic , WHY ? Well let me tell you a story .

I was walking around the hobbyshop , looking at all the wonderful kits and other stuff. I spied these large sheets and saw a new ship in there. It's like was said about " LEORNADO DA- VINCI " as saying , "You chip away until the object you see is out and visible , " or something like that .

Anyway , I want all of you to know ,we AIN'T crazy .We are creators of something new . We bring it to life and revel in it's complexity , if it's a kit .Or if we choose ,we get a pile of " scratch " stuff together and then it's a tank , plane or ship , YES even a car .

Plastic , ahh , I swoon in the smell of freshly opened packages of that aforementioned plastic sheet , My mind reels with the possibilities within. Don'tcha just love it ? I know I do . Well , gotta go , catchya later     Tanker - builder
