Wow this was a long time ago when I went by Green Thumb.

My son is still in the Marine Corps and was just promoted to Master Sergeant a few months back. About a year plus and he will retire with 20 years in the Marine Corps.

Thanks again guys. A little update, apparently Andrew is the top of the entire class and that blows me away! He said it's not fun being rated at the top though so I don't know what to say but I am very proud. My dad was a Marine in WWII and I sure wish he was here to see his grandson in such a position.

Thanks everyone. Yes Subfixer it does seem like just yesterday that Andrew went into the Corps but he is going on his eighth year already. Staff Sgt. will be the next step. Smile

Hopefully soon Jim. I am so exhausted from work lately that I want to go to bed at 7 pm.

Congratulations are in order. Have one more Beer on us, sit in the chair in front of your workbench, take a deep breath and get back to building.Wink

It seems like yesterday when Andrew was just a recruit. Now he is going to be pushing boots himself. Congrats to both of you.

I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

My son Andrew is in a class of 96 Marines (I think) studying to be Drill Instructors at Parris Island, SC and he and one other Marine are at the top of the class and quite a ways ahead of the others. That's my son! One proud Marine Dad here. Cool
