FATHERS DAY and MODELERS
Posted by tankerbuilder on Sunday, June 16, 2013 9:10 AM

Not all FATHERS are modelers .Not all MODELERS are fathers .This means nothing on this day set aside to honor fathers who did the job life gave them to do .So , MODELERS or not , FATHERS of modelers or not.  To all who explore and are part of the forums here . Personally I am both . A father of MODELERS and a MODELER myself. Neat huh ? Well my children learned early , on FATHERS DAY don't get ties or something like that , models and model working supplies as well as that latest DREMEL are the best for me .Hmmm , Is that why over the years I wound up with four complete DREMEL tools and attachment sets ? Great , I have worn ALL them out . I enjoyed thinking every time I used one which child had given it .That definitely made the memories last longer . I'm both a father and a modeler, but for the most part, the kids are not. Oh well, I had fun helping them build when they were young, now life has gotten in the way. Sounds familiar doesn't it? Wink

I'm the father of two girls who enjoyed watching me build all types of models. I taught them how to sail R/C sailboats. They helped our club put on shows at the Phila. Civic Center a long time ago. I'm proud of them even though they don't build any models. Maybe the grandkids will build some, someday.

I second that!  I have 4 daughters, they are artistic, but not modelers (so far).
