US Navy lands unmanned aircraft on a carrier today

This is a  bad Idea, in the long history of bad ideas.   I can imagine someone hacking into the control system and turning against us.  Or maybe I've just seen too many movies or read to many books about such things going haywire.  Watch out, SKYNET is not that far away.  As I learned from Star Trek, never let AI control any weapon system.

But now if there's no one at the controls, why is the guy in the yellow on the deck giving him the go ahead for launch?  Excuse my lack of knowledge of the position titles and technical terms.

    I read about the try yesterday .I guess they spent quite a while getting to this point .They want (according to the article  , the  X-47 ) to be able to refuel while airborne and carry weapons too . I wonder if all this is going to pan out ?      Tanker - Builder       P.S. according to the article there's NO ONE at the controls on a base or ship somewhere . She's doing this via programming only .
