Here's an interesting article about a real grenade launcher that looks like something steampunk fans would have cooked up for Capt. Oswald Bastable as he surfed the Time Streams.

They test-fired a piece of similar design (though not so crusty a vintage) on a recent episode of "Pawn Stars." No way I would have held that thing in my hands as it went off.
