Carpenter was also an aquanaut and participated in the Sealab experiments.

Another great hero lost this week.  And he did so much more than just space related stuff.  I think he did some underwater stuff with the Navy.  Man, he went to both final frontiers.  God Speed Mr. Carpenter!
