Yup, boy was it a fun year. Great team, great postseason. The Tigers and Cardinals gave the Sox all they could handle, and with virtually zero margin for error between Boston and St. Louis one or two mistakes were usually fatal.

Raualduke- your club is gonna see many postseasons in the near future with the roster they have. Love the Ortiz postgame comment about how he feels sorry for St. Louis having all that young talent on the roster and is soon going to be faced with paying for it. Great problem to have.

If there was a way to trim the first few months off of the baseball season and just leave the last half, maybe it would be a little more enticing to watch. It seems that baseball season just drags its way on forever and then gets good just for a brief period. Like an asteroid that floats in space for eons and only in its fiery entry into the atmosphere do you notice it.

The Red Sox win was of particular interest to us here in the small town of Moab, Utah as your first base coach, Arnie Beyeler, is from here. I went to school with him so it was cool to see small town boy realize his baseball coaching dreams. The whole town is pretty excited about that. Aside from that, Go Rockies.

Yea awesome game....first one I've watched all year. Not much of a baseball fan....need a little more gratuitus violence, maybe let the hitter bring his bat to base with him or maybe be able to throw a guy out by hitting with the ball???  anyway like Tojo72 said anything to stick it to the stankees.

On behalf of this Cardinals fan, congratulations Red Sox! It was good to see Napoli get a ring after not getting one with the Rangers.

I read that the Evil Empire Yankees are prepared to throw a lot of money his way.

Oh by the way, he already helped the Cards win a title in 2006
