In Phoenix for the holidays.  Can anyone recommend a local hobby shop to visit?  I am in the north central pix area.  Thx!

North central?  Well there's not much up in that part of town.  There's a local store called Hobby Bench that sells models, RC and other crafts on 43rd Ave and Bell Rd.  There's another Hobby Bench on 19th Ave and Northern Rd.  There's an all RC store called Franks Hobby House or something like that on 32rd St. and Cactus Rd.  There's another pretty good store over by the Thunderbird Business school but I can't recall the name or streets that its on.

There are a few good stores in Tempe and Mesa but I'm not sure how far you're willing to drive.

The 19th and northern is two miles away but I'm willing to go to Mesa.

My favorite shop is Hobby Depot on Southern Ave. and Mill Ave. in Tempe.  They have alot of stuff in stock but what I really like is that they cary alot of building, AM and finishing supplies.

There's a store over on Elliot Rd. and Val Vista Dr. but I don't recall its name.  There is a store called Hobbytown USA over on Gilbert Rd. and Baseline Rd but they got rid of their plastic model stuff and are mostly RC now.

Went to Hobby depot.  Nice store.  Great owners.  Spoke to both for awhile.  Would recommend it to locals!
