P-61 Black Widow Recovery and Restoration

Hoping to make the trip this year. Just gotta try to convince the missus to come along. It's about 5 hours from me.

Been there 3 of the last 5 years. Great show.

Yes, it's a great project!  In 2012, the staff said they expected to have the aircraft flying again in 5 years.  That might be pushed out a little, but every year, they've had a little more progress made on restoring her.  If you're able, it's definitely worth it to visit the MAAM and the WWII Weekend.  It's held as close to the D-Day anniversary every year, as possible.

The WWII Weekend show there is some kinda wonderful I can tell you.  If you anywhere near it you gotta go.  i have not been able top make for a few years but here she is on display back in '07.  Would love to see what she looks like now.  And the day she flys?  Can't think of a thing that would keep me away from that.
