War Diary...
Posted by Jester75 on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 8:00 PM

Not sure if anyone would even be interested but I received an email for Zooniverse today about a new citizen project they had started called War Diary. Basically notating and tagging unit war diaries from World War I in an electronic format. This is similiar to some of the other citizen projects out there like SETI@home and Folding@home only there is no program running on your computer. I initially got started with Zooniverse by helping to classify stars that were viewed using the Kepler space telescope and that may possibly have bodies in orbit. A bit geeky yeah I know but that great empty beyond has always held an interest to me. Anyway, just thought I would throw this out there for anyone that might be interested!!

Very interesting!  I will try and make some time to sit down and help out from time to time.

Thanks for posting!
