Vance, until a couple of weeks ago, I had always thought Iron Eagle had three movies in the franchise, but there was a fourth movie made. Part 1 had Gossett help a teenager save his dad from some bad guys in the middle east. Part 2 showed same teenager, now an Air Force pilot himself, get shot down and apparently killed in a peacetime dogfight with some Soviets. Part 3 was about something in South/Central America after Gossett retired from the Air Force. In Part 4  the guy who supposedly was shot down and killed in part 2 didn't die after all, and was a major part of the plot of that movie. I liked it better than part three.

Iron Eagle....I thought dude had died....didn't realize they brought him back in a Part IV until I saw it on TV a couple of weeks ago...and he still had the tape player.

I'm still confused by the "Part IV" comment... Hmm

I know, I remember catching part of that sequel too.  Was that the one where they used the P-51's or was that parrt3?
