Muscle car models

BD, You may not be impressed with them but R-M has a pretty good selection of muscle.  If your into Novas, Camaros, Dodges and Cudas, R-M has some nice offerings.  The AMT 66 Fairlane and Comet weren't too bad and the 62 409 impala is a good builder---if you want to call that a muscle car.  Their 66 and 69 Olds 442 kits are nice as is the 68 roadrunner and 71 charger.  None are perfect but any of those can be a nice build with some care.

I like AMT/ERTL kits better. Those kits gives you a choice to build what version you want - stock, custom, dragster, etc...

When I did car models and I wanted to beef them up as muscle cars, I usually kit bash them. An engine from this, valve covers from that, I don't want chrome air cleaner but I want a supercharger though, tires from this, wheels from that, etc... Well, you get the picture.

Monogram's 66 GTO kit is a great kit. I also like AMT's 70 Camaro kit.

Another kit brand I love to get is MPC. A lot of nice classic cars by them as well.

Thanks for the input, everyone. It seems there isn't anyone making fine scale car models on par with the more detailed military models. I think I'll give the Revell 1972 Olds 442 a try. It looks like a good effort. And then I'll see from there. I suppose you can buy upgrade kits like you can in military modeling. Any guidance on how to track those down would be appreciated.
