Hey guys I was wondering what all these little pictures are from on people's profile. Are they group build images? How do you get them (I assume contributing in a group build)? Do they send you the image for participating? Just wondering if a vet here can fill me in. Thanks

when you participate in a Group Build, there is usually a badge for successful completion of that build that you can pick up and add to your signature. Some GBs let you get the badge as soon as you start participating, while others say not until you hhave finished your build. It is up to the host(s) as to that aspect.

Yep, what Stik says. The badge is usually put on the opening post, you then just have to save it to your computer and add it to you sig. Once you have a few, you either have to out them all into a GIF or make them all into one image, as Stik and myself have done. You can only have so many characters in the sig and a few badges will eat that up.

some folks add their collective badges "fruit salad" style, some use a slide show, and some post a few or individual ones that they are currently involved with due to the signature line space limits.
Some don't bother.
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
..and some can't figure out how to....
I was with GM and Nathan until somebody made my fruit salad for me... ;-)

How to what, I'm confused.
How to put badges together to form an animated file or .gif or whatever. It wasn't really a cry for help, just trying to put my poor computer skills out in the open. Someday when I've completed enough group builds I'll look for a tutorial.
