Hi; Ya'll! This is just to let you all in on a little funny. My friend Humper and I go back a ways .Common thread - MODELS. When we talk to each other it's gets kinda silly sometimes. He hails from the Great state of Michigan and I from TEXAS .He and I spent a very good Holiday time last year when he visited . He transports stuff for a living for a company who shall not be named here.I sit on my butt and build lotsa models. Turns out we have a lot in common given he's about the age my son would've been. He's fun to be with and doesn't think anything of talking funny either. It's kinda our personal code . Inoffensive ,definitely funny and somewhat childish .That's how intensely we bonded .Just think, I met him here too .See, Finescale is the bomb . T.B.

Tanks you are a character!

There's no doubt you are genuine nobody could make this stuff up.

I suggest you post your best Hawaiian shirt- I'll do mine tonight.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

hey yo

maui shirt company sells them and the magnum black orchard shirt. i must have 25 aloha shirts, only a few in the $40 range from many years ago.

as for a hat i have plenty. last couple of days been wearing black USS HURRICANE hat.seems appropriate. also have black 3AD, GLOCK, SYDNEY HARD ROCK and a number of dark blue navy ship hats.

aside why are they hurricanes if they are in the pacific? shouldn't they be typhoons?

I think that when those storms form in the Eastern Hemisphere they are Typhoons, in the Western Hemisphere, they are Hurricanes. Hawker makes both.

I am there with you about Hawaiian shirts- the louder the better! I have a good coupole dozen and now that I have lost a good maount of weight getting my butt back into decent shape I cn wear many of my older ones again. But one of my old favorites recently gave up the ghost.... rubbing up against my pistol holster in the small of my back while seated finally wore a hole in it...

hawker makes both. that's funny. so does airfix and they keep getting bigger.

i've had to adjust my wardrobe too and am loosing some weight and waist. my frau enjoys the fashion show from time to time. to her "honey does this make me looked armed?"

A great place to get real Hawiian shirts, made in Hawaii, is Reyn-Spooner, also located in Hawaii.  I got my first one in 1972 as a gift from a friend, and occasionally collect additional shirts now and then.  They are all very high quality but of course kind of pricey.  A lot of them have buttons made from coconut shells!  I have ordered from their website and always gotten top notch service.

Gimme a pigfoot, and a bottle of beer...

I usually find them at Goodwill or St.Vincent DePaul stores .

Now that said I always pair them with a selection of Marine, Navy or Detroit Eagles Caps .Very well done Eagle in satin embroidery and an American Flag swash .They were seconds . Someone forgot to finish sewing Detroit Eagles on the back .

They are certainly attention getters ,believe me .Gees, it's nice being old and slow! I get to be colorful now!      T.B.
