I first mentioned a Canadian Lancaster making a trip to Normandy and the U.K. for a few airshows to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of D-Day some time back. The Canadian Lancaster took off on August 14 and will return in late September / early October. This will be the first time since WW2 that two Lancasters will fly in formation over English skies. I knew about the story from a past issue of FlyPast magazine.

For the first time in 50 years Lancasters have again flown in formation. I would have loved to have been there. See story and vid here: http://beta.bbc.com/news/uk-england-lincolnshire-28756779
