Thanks  Big Smile

Check how author Stephen Edward Ambrose looks in some of those WAW interviews.

I almost didn't recognize him after being used to his book dust jacket photos.Surprise

Battlefield on You Tube has some good film footage as well.

It plays frequently on the American Heros Channel (formerly The Military Channel).

It's an excellent series based on information available publicly at the time (circa 1970-73).  The interviews with major participants in the war are priceless.

Another great series is GI Diary, narrated by Lloyd Bridges.

My son gave me the DVD set as a gift a few years ago. I remember watching them back in the 60's or 70's. Another excellent set is Victory at Sea. Amazon has the set for free if you have Amazon Prime. They are also selling the set for $4.98. I just picked that set up if for nothing else the episode about The Battle of Leyte Gulf.
