Not true, and verified.

Something like 100,000 to 120,000 babies were born in Germany in the period 1945- 1949 by unwed mothers, fathers occupation troops. Roughly 50,000 to 60,000 each either Allied fathers or Russian fathers.

According to Cornelius Ryan's "The Last Battle" there was a very large number of abortions performed by German doctors in the immediate postwar years on German women as a result of unwanted pregnancies, often due to rape by Soviet forces. Lets just say they were being quite vindictive upon the German civil populace in vengeful retribution for similar abuses suffered at the hands of German forces in the Soviet Union.  I have not read the book is years and can not quote numbers, but it was widespread.

Well after some thought, that makes more sense.

I have no idea on the figures on the number of births, but I believe the 2 million figure is a high estimate of the number of German woman raped by Soviet troops.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Bish, I read that 2 million woman got pregnant by the Russians alone! That would be a difficult search for sure.

Tanker, the link refers to children who were fathered by troops in the occupation forces that invaded Germany.

Are you referring to German Kids ? If so I am going to have to let you know that I am one , and I found my Mom and Dad about forty years ago . Both Deceased . Dad was in the KreigsMarine and Mom fled Germany while carrying me . Dad was killed by the Gestapo and Mom died giving me life on the way over here . Very loving thing she did . Dad , well , he hated , the folks in charge .
