Well, I made it to the Modelpalooza show in Orlando. WOW! what a sensory overload! But before I talk about the show, I have a very special thank you!
To Plasticjunkie and JayJay.....THANK YOU!!!! You guys rock! I had the absolute pleasure of meeting these gentlemen at the show Saturday. It was difficult for me, this being the first time I have really gone out and done anything since my wife passed. I had a moment where I got really depressed and had to take a walk, but these 2 guys were awesome! We had a wonderful lunch (thank you again PJ for lunch! The Bison burger was great!) and we sat and talked which was great for me. We walked around and bought some models (I had to make 6 trips to the car!) and had some great times talking models! And in case no one knows this...JayJay has only been modeling a bit over a year! Check out his builds...amazing!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, I really wanted to give a shout out to these guys....thanks for making my experience awesome and easier!
As for the show, again, WOW! I walked through the doors and almost slipped into a como! Lots of models for the show/contest! And I didn't see one that I didn't like! There are some spectacular builds there! And then the vendors! Compared to the little show we have in Vermont....WOW! I bought something like 25 models! The vedors were great too! All but a couple would always give you a deal! I even saw one give a kid a kit just because! Too cool! I ran out of money before I could get to the AM stuff and tools! Bottom line, if anyone ever gets the chance to go to Modelpalooza, do it! It's a great show, in a great town, with lots to see and do when you get there and after the show.
I'll post the kits I got in another post soon, but really wanted to thank PJ and JayJay for their hospitality and friendship! Thank you both! You guys rock!
