This is to Aaron and others who may help them .

I have to ask . If I am referring to an article of clothing in a proper manner , why is part of it censored  ? I mean come on already . A man wears a suit . It has a pocket left side front over the chest . This is referred to as the *** Pocket anywhere you go . Men's suits are either Single or Double breasted . Nothing sexual or  otherwise intended . It's the properly accepted description  for this form of dress .

I mean I do approve of the prohibition of vulgar language , But censoring a description accepted anywhere in public ? Ok, Maybe something has changed over the years . I won't even describe the obvious things present on some of my miniature " Nose Art Figurines " or  "Pinup Figurines " .

I see them as a part of history . A different time sure . I also see it as a hide-bound proof that most American Males and some Females respect and appreciate the vision of these artists in depicting beautiful young women . Nothing daringly prurient or anything like that .

Both my wives liked and one even collected my Playboy " Vargas  " Centerfolds. Beauty can be an Andy Warhol Soup can or the ubiquitus picture of Marliyn Monroe over the grate in N.Y.C. . If  the Word or Words are used in context and is not insulting to anyone's sense of decency I believe it should stay in the text .

Nannybot does not discriminate...it just blocks the word, no matter the context.

Take the short name for Richard...no, I don't mean Rick...in one context, it's just a name, in another, well, you know! Can't really program a nannybot to take context into account.

Nudity...well, I think that's largly left to us to use proper judgement on. In the context of "historical", such as nose art on a plane. I think that's perfectly acceptable, and I don't think the staff here has a problem with that. Take a figure, that is in a provocative pose, with "parts" exposed, it's just gratuitous.

TB look down at the box between your toes...reads "Ivory?".

Teasing my friend.

I've been through enough flame wars here, and one personal banishment, plus the responses from the mods to questions like yours.

I think I can remind you that the real purpose there is to keep members from insulting each other, so that this remains a calm place. The nannybot culls out words that typically get used in net spats. So for instance it is acceptable to allude to the Nazi party, but not to warn of attacks by the "rivet ***".

Your reference to a *** pocket is a little puzzling, but I imagine that term is couched in an insult somewhere in the web.

Tilley will complain about the inability to state the title of the Great American Novel; I'm with him there.

I'd like to say one thing as it's on my mind and to me meaningful.

In spite of what we've endured and are enduring collectively in the media in the last year, I never ever saw any hate rhetoric here, and I am very grateful for that. The Lord knows, and probably grimaces, that is more than abundant everywhere on HD cable.

In your last sentence you say "not insulting to anyone's sense of decency".

That sentence has made it's full impact by the word "anyone", period.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Hi " G "

Nah  , I just get frustrated at the nannybot sometimes and had to vent . After all have you ever heard me cuss here ? Nope , although sometimes I have been tempted .

When I look around sometimes today at my favorite gas stop ( here in New Braunfels it's known as Buc'ees ) I see forms of dress that to me are downright rude and innapropriate ! This , from women of all ages and ethnicity !

If my daughters had ever dressed like that in public , the roof would've blown off . Plus once in the last week , I had to put my purchases down in a Wal-Mart , and walk out empty handed . Why ? Two teenage girls were talking and the language was so blue as to embarress me !

So I guess when I do use the proper descriptive terms for a type of clothing , In context , I don't expect censorship . Oh Well , Have a good day . Oh , Watch out there . Didn't you know the use of ivory is banned ?  the soap box is really cream colored plastic ! LOL.LOL. T.B.
