It's Mr Presley's birthday today (also my oldest daughter's). Thought I'd share a little tribute with a nod to the gentleman from my hometown of Jackson, TN. Anyone know who that might be?

Might you be referring to Carl Perkins? Also, if I remember correctly, Brother Dave Gardner was from Jackson as well. And, I think Kenny Chesney is from near there, too.

Indeed it is. I have to confess, I didnt know about Kenny. For the older country fans, T.G. Sheppard is from Humboldt. I worked for a younger man who professed to be a country fan; he goes to all the Nashville stuff, and he knew zilch about him. Fifteen #1 hits and a crossover hit or two....then again, when the Backstreet Boys are the highlight of a CMA award show...
