I'm not a gun person, but looking at the general shapes, it suggests a pinfire design.  The French Lefaucheux family of revolvers may be possible candidates.

Might be an Italian pistol - has a strong resemblance to the Glisenti Model 1872.

Found it many years ago in a rock wall near my house in ex Yugoslavia. Could be WW1 or 2. German and Italian armies were there at the time, if it helps.
