Thanks Jack, I'll check out the privacy settings.

I don't think it's necessary that a viewer be able to scroll through other photos when I hotlink to one, just to answer your question.

Glenn, thanks for your input. Controlling resolution on image click is one reason i want to move to Flickr. Photobucket used to respect my posted resolution. It doesn't seem to be any longer. I may be wrong about that, though. Like you, I like the way a single click on the "plus" icon in a flickr hotlink displays the chosen image resolution for the viewer. We're on the same page there.

Hopefully I'll get this sorted today.

There are privacy settings but it's kind of limited. As far as I know on the Pro account, which is what I use, you can choose either Private, public, friends, or contacts. It's probably the same on the free account. Personally I think Flickr is far better than some as far as posting larger images. I see so many images posted on this forum that I would love to view larger yet when I click on them I get the same size and clicking the "+" box does nothing.

A number Army Viet Nam scans from hundreds yet to be done:

Have had the great fortune to be on every side of the howitzers.

Hello Greg, not sure, but are you saying you don't want the public to view your photos directly on the  flickr site?

This is by default, but you can change privacy setting by clicking the purple camera icon atop the page.

regards,

Jack

Question for Flickr users

I like the way Flickr seems to respect image integrety, and I like when I click on one of your images I get a nice larger image. And I LOVE that all I see is your image, with a nice black background and I cannot see anything else in your account.

BTW, I've been using Photobucket for 10 yrs plus.

So I created a Flickr account and posted my first image. When I click on the image I see way too much info, it's is if I'm on a page in my own account and it might be. I don't care to have visitors able to browse though other pics. This is one of the reasons I'm abandoning Photobucket ASAP.

Comments? TIA.
