Holy After Market, Batman!

I had the old Aurora Batman model that was modeled after Adam West. Still have an original TV series 1/32 scale Batmobile by a Japanese company (Otaki?).

I really enjoyed Mr. West's tongue-in-cheek portrayal of Batman.  That is how I would expect him to be, from the comics of my childhood.  I did not care for the "dark" environments of the later Batman movies.

He was a large part of our lives growing up in the late 60's/early 70's. What kid didn't have the Batman lunch box, the Batman Doona Cover, and every Matchbox Batmobile that I could lay my little hands on. RIP Bruce Wayne.

Hmm;

 Although somewhat " Campy " the original Adam West " Batman " is the one I will always remember . Rest In Peace - Bruce Wayne - Adam West ! T.B.

Nor did Mr West, Chuck (according to an article I read years back in which he was interviewed after having attended one of the the 'new' Batman movies).

I have an autographed picture of him that says "To my pal Ernie, best wishes Adam West".

Saw him at the Miami Beach Convention Center many many years ago. Now I have to look for the picture packed away somewhere in the garage. RIP Batman.

Many years ago I built an r/c model of the Batboat form the 1966 movie.  I used a 1/32 scale fiberglass hull for an Elco 80' PT Boat as a base.    A few years after completing the model, George BArris, designer of the Batmobile & Batboat, appeared at a local Auto Show.  I took my Batboat model and had Mr. Barris autograph it.  I had hoped to get Adam West and Burt Ward to autograph the model as well.

This was always my batman.. I never cared for the later iterations, especially the super melodramaticman.

Golly holy jumping finding!!! This is a 7 month old post but wanted to post a picture of my autographed Adam West picture. I finally found it not in the garage but in the man cave while searching for info on a build!

Nice momentos, I grew up with Adam West and Burt Ward as my Batman and Robin, but I really liked Affleck's portrayal. The montage of him training up to take on superman was awesome.

To me there is only one Tarzan, Johnny Weissmuller and one Batman, Adam West.
