Welcome back! Good to have you with us again.

Yup, things have changed a little over the years but they still remain the same in that lots of great guys and gals here are doing great building and helping others to improve their skills. I'm still building and learning lots from these guys.

I keep hitting "escape", but I'm still here.

Welcome back!

Get her a bench or chair. Somehow they got the partner memo.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

First Bench Time in Two Years

Well guys, I'm back. It seems like a lot has changed around here since I was last a "serious" builder. After graduating college and moving and starting a big boy job, I'd only built sporadically. I always wanted to get back in it, but life got in the way. My wife and I built a house, and I specifically asked to have a room built for my hobby space. Only problem is, when we moved in it became the catch all room for my hobby stuff. I've lived here almost two years, and I just now got it set up, and for the first time since I've moved in, I got to do some modeling. Wow, what a feeling!

While I don't have the time to dedicate that I used to, I feel like I finally got something back that's been missing for me. I should be able to wrap up an unfinished kit this week (Eduard's La-7 in 1/48) and get started on a simple kit to hone my skills again (Airfix Spitfire MkI in 1/48) this weekend. Then starts the arduous task of finding which paints I need to replace and new putties to try and super glues to find.

Its good to be back.
