Bish,

We have talked of this before not to long ago....I have seen photos and a BBC documentary on this date for your fallen countrymen. There are no words to describe the pride and sadness of all those that were interviewed and highlighted in the documentary. Truely remarkable.

As a Vet, I would like thank all of those that have served...and a huge thank you to all of those indiviuals that have shown, given and expressed their support.

Thank you for bring that to us here in the states Bish

Thanks and respect to all veterans.

On this day, as an American, I thank not only our own veterans, but also our brothers and sisters of the Commonwealth who have been such steadfast allies, and have sacrificed so much in the name of freedom.

Dwayne or Dman or just D.  All comments are welcome on my builds.

Thank you, Bish, for your eloquence. We who have served and are serving are indeed a band of  brothers and sisters.

I wish we had the same custom here Bish. It may be that the Great War experience was seared into the fabric of the Commonwealth countries much deeper than here.

The Commonwealth Remembers

Across the Commonwealth of Nations, the 11th Nov is Rememberance Day. In the UK it is also Armistace Day.

While the main commemorations will take place on Rememberance Sunday, with services being held at War memorials across the land, from the biggest towns and cities to the smallest villages, on this day, at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, the nation will pause for 2 mins silence to remember our fallen and mark the moment the guns fell silent in 1918 afer 4 long years of war.

We will remember those who fell in that war and all the wars and conflicts since. Since WW2, The British Armed Forces have only known 2 years where no service personel have been killed while on operations, 1968 and 2016.

I wear my Poppy with pride.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
