Yeah, it's an amazing museum. Last time I went I wondered around with my jaw hanging wide open- almost too much stuff to see in one trip.

Glad you enjoyed it. Gee I really need to go back soon.

Visited the Udvar-Hazy Center yesterday...

Taking my son to Dulles Airport yesterday, we decided to stop at the Udvar-Hazy center for a couple hours. Been there many times, but always a pleasure. A couple exciting new things this time though - a large piece of one of the Horten prototypes, and tucked away almost behind a curtain next to the He-219 was the Go-229! I had toured the Garber restoration facility many times and seen the Horten prototypes and heard they had the 229, but never seen it. It's looks very intact, with the wings carefully removed and set to the side! what looks like original paint and marking, in the queue for restoration maybe? What a sight that would be next to their Ar-234! Of course I didn't have my camera along...

Also out on the floor was the nose from the Shinden and the fuselage from a Kikka
