He flew Gemini, Apollo, and the Space Shuttle... and was critical to getting Apollo 13 home alive.
Im sure MSN was too busy with fluff to carry the passing of a real hero and person of true scientific and historic significance.

Thought I would make mention of the passing of John Young, Captain, USN Rtd.
A member of the second group of astronauts selected after the original seven, he made 6 trips into space, including walking on the moon.
Another one of my childhood heroes gone.
