To my fellow FSM Forum Members,
I just found out from out of all people Mrs. Toshi in that one of my builds made it into the Digital Readers Gallery. Of all people, Mrs. Toshi helps me to sometimes write my threads on my bad TBI days. She was perusing the Digital Readers Gallery and found out that in the April showing (Most Recent) my Tamiya 1/32 Mosquito ”Operation Jericho“ made it in.
This will be aircraft number four that made it in the Galleries. My first one was the Monogram 1/48 Visible B-17G Flying Fortress. That kit was filled in the interior with Eduard PE from front to back! That build was very fun as that was my first year of building after a forty year hiatus.
My second entry were actually two Corsairs in one photo. It was a Tamiya 1/32 Corsair “Bird Cage” and a Revell 1/48 Corsair. I don’t own them anymore. And I’m a bit sad that I don’t own these two aircraft that was chosen into the Digital Readers Gallery. But I’m proud that they now sit in the bar area of Streetsboro, Ohio off of route forty three, the VFW! I know that my two builds are being enjoyed by veterans that go to the Streetsboro, Ohio VFW. And that’s all that counts!
Entry number three was my Trumpeter 1/32 “Night Attack” Harrier. Just last week my Harrier saw some action and won the battle. Allow me to tell a short vignette. For some strange reason, we here in North East Ohio have been getting some really spring like warm weather. All the snow melted and we had sunshine on one day with seventy degree temps! Of course some days were rainy, some days we even saw some thunder storms. Yeah right! In mid February? So STUPID Toshi decided to air out the house and open our windows especially the sliding glass door that leads to our patio. A storm came up and blew wind unto ”The Great Wall of Toshi” at this point you all know what happened and I’m lucky the rest of my Planes did not see the same fate as the Harrier did! Surprisingly the only damage was that the drop tanks and some bomb/rockets fell off as it hit the ground. It has been repaired and is back on “The Great Wall of Toshi” hopefully not ready to see any future action! lol!
And now build number four, the Tamiya 1/32 Mosquito “Operation Jericho“. I’m very surprised that my builds get into the Gallery and that I know my builds have so many flaws it’s not even funny! So as one of your most humbled FSM brother, I leave you with this, thank you all for following my builds. It’s done nothing but help me grow as a person, you’ve all been a huge factor in keeping me healthy and active. Now even Mrs. Toshi gets well wishes and prayers from you all. She so appreciates this kind gesture and it touches her heart as such. Mrs. Toshi said to All FSM Forum Members, Thank You, Thank You, and Thank You!
