It's a Wildcat.  In such remarkable preservation, you can still make out the 4 Japanese kill markings on the side, along with the Felix the Cat squadron emblem!  With a bit of research, I bet you could even discover to whom it belonged.

PS> The squadron was VF-3.

That is amazing Hope they keep the location secret, many ships in the pacific have been scavenged by china and the like for the metal. Can't believe how great of condition she's in

This was great news. I often wondered how much of the ship actually made it to the bottom. The pictures of the exposions during the sinking really showed a lot of damage.  Its amazing the detail still shown on the aircraft.  What really makes this find special is that there are no known TBD Devestators to be left, the ones in the picture are preserved in a perfect time capsule.

As deep as she is, it may be hard to do, but lets hope nobody tries to salvage it.

Now to find the Akagi and the Wasp.

I believe ne of the wreckage is indeed either a Dauntless or Devastator. The other is a Wildcat.

I know they found Yorktown.  I don't know if they have located Hornet yet or not (don't think so), but yeah, Wasp would be a nice find, as well as the cruisers in Iron Bottom.

Three major pieces, she really broke apart on the way down.
