Hi Philo !

Listen , this is for you and Wolfhammer . Did you know you can go to different sites online and get instructions for Non-LEGO creations AKA  ,Tanks, Warships and Planes ? I don't know the sites by name , But , I have been assured they are out there . T.B.

A few hours, I do not remember exactly how long.  The instructions with the kits are quite easy to follow and detailed.

I have built several of the Star Wars space craft kits, and two World War 1 planes, a Sopwith Camel and a Fokker Dr 1 (Red Baron colors).  I find that I do not have any pictures of the models unfortunately, otherwise I would share them.  Maybe this weekend...

I did some math and it works out the planes were about 1/12 scale, and surprisingly detailed.  The rotary engines actually rotate with the props.

Hi ! Philo426 ! !

You hit a Nerve ! I not only build LEGOS , but I Build Mega - Blox , Cobi and Brick - Tech models . I am the Standing Ambassador for life between the Local LEGO folks and My Rail-Road museum .

We even have LEGO build Tables on Kids Fun day on the first and third saturdays of every month  , Weather permitting .We do for the little folks Duplo , which is another LEGO product !

I use the LEGOS for fine builds and the rest for regular stuff .One of the things is the " Clutch " power of the bricks . All are measured to the LEGO standard . Some come up short .

LEGO bricks , because of their very tight fit are great for making Mold boxes and other tool type stuff . I specifically use " Brick - Tech " for ship and model stands during construction . I use " Hot " glue ( one dot in four places and put the hull on the cradle shaped stand  ). A craft knife breaks the bond when necessary !

I have used modified LEGO parts such as extendable hydraulic cranes on ship models to great success ! Other LEGO parts form bases for 1/96 Radars and other Mast components ! They make great engine and car stands in 1/25 too !

I have 7 LEGO sets totaling ~15,000 bricks. Six are built as a street block, and the other is a bridge that I currently do not have the space for.

It's made by a company called Cobi. My wife got it for me off ebay I think. You can get them from this website too.

I picked up this Construx Viking Longboat at Toys R Us just before they closed for 8 bucks!I made Legos when I was a kid in the 70s but this type is a whole different animal!995 pieces of various sorts and it was a bit overwhelming at first.I found that a medium sized fishing tackle box ideal for sorting and organizing parts.Progress thus far.,,
