Hello!

As a Polishman I really look forward to seeing a nice movie about this beautiful part of Polish history.

At the same time, when I read about what those boys were like, I'm 100% sure I couldn't be a fighter pilot...

Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

Paweł

I really look forward to this. My co-worker is days past was a veteran of this squadron, Jerzy "George" Solak.

 Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Should be a great movie.

There was also a combat sim released this year on the Polish squadron;

Didn't Gabby Gabreski fly missions with 303 Squadron?

OK. In the stash: Way too much to build in one lifetime...

An old friend was Victor Swierkowski who was in 316 Squadron RAF, Warsaw squadron.  Met him because he had a sports car repair shop in Sacramento and I had an E-type.  I towed gliders for Victor up at Truckee in the early 70's.  So I guess you could say for a while I shared a cockpit with a Polish fighter pilot. The stories I think are not exaggerated.  The Super Cub I flew towed pretty well because the engine turned above 2800 rpm at best rate of climb instead of the certificated 2700 rpm redline.  It helped at 6,000msl and up at Truckee.  Statute of limitations applies here, doesn't it?  Doesn't it, FAA?
