Bill,

Happy Birthday, and I'm so glad you shared that!

And a happy birthday to all the August 'kids' from me, too.

I just turned 62 last month, so I'm right there with you, my friend.

Nice post, good thread. Yes

I rolled the clock over to the big 5 0 on the 21st. Co-workers made it special, I have no idea what I done to deserve that treatment but I wanna keep doing whatever it is I'm doing as I really do not know how to accept kindness without a cost.

I hope I learned somthing in the last 50yrs so the next go by smoother....probably not LOL. I am glad to have you folks here to interact with, lots of positive and knowledgeable participants. HAPPY BIRTHDAY all you kids of summer.

August babies are the greatest!  I turned 54 on the 24th - and as the youngest of 4, both my parents passed in 2010/2011.  No grandkids yet, but there's talk :)

I too appreciate this forum and all of you.  No way I would have finished that POS Kfir with out getting on the shelf of doom group build ;)

Happy birthday to all the August babies.

Thanks,

John

In 12 minutes I, too, will make it to 62. It has indeed been a fascinating time, as I come close to losing my surviving parent, deal with Parkinson's and other physical limitations, and watch my kids and grandkids grow. But there is one thing I will be doing later today that I have been waiting for: I now qualify for the National Park Service senior pass and I'm about to go get me one! In 7 minutes and counting ...

I made it to 62 today. It becomes a different thing each year. My surviving parent can't really remember but knows it's around now. My wife worries and throws everything at a good time. My siblings show respect. My dog curls up at my feet.

I went to Mass, ate food at a Tongan/ Guamanian/ Vietnamese street fair, modeled, went out to dinner at my favorite fish house and had a late drink at the neighborhood snort.

Mostly thought about John McCain, my dad, and the fires up north but also the good things in life.

You all are that, thank you for another year of friendship.

Bill
