They use them for crop dusting but clearly thats not the volume required for firefighting.

 

Ye, thats what i was thinking, it would not carry much water. A spotter makes a lot of sense.

Very cool.  Is the Thrush Commander a command/spotter or do they put tanks on it?  Great looking Huey.

Went to the WNC State Fair,saw this pair in service with the North Carolina Forest Service as firefighters,wanted to share
