Like I said!

A healthy dose of high grade spirits will help to flush out all the infections! Just check with the horse doctor over safe dosage!

Glad everything turned out okay! A couple weeks ago, my brother -- who has had three heart attacks -- thought he was having another one. Turns out it wasn't a cardiac event at all but most likely an inflamation of the chest wall.

As for me, I had my heart attack while at the hospital in the recovery room following placement of a cardiac stent. If you're going to have a heart attack, that's not a bad place to have it.

Take it easy, my friend ...

Glad that you're stil around.

When my heart failed in combat back in 2010, the only thing that was available to the medic was a Warrior, it's battery and a pair of jump leads!

That's a proper jump start!

It was a hybrid virus of SARS and Bird Flu that got me and the doctors have told me just how bad my heart is and they considered a pacemaker/defibulator joint unit that was being tested but the manufacturers said "No! Not suitable!"

They say that you're not aware of the electric jolts..... Yes you are and it feels like something very heavy has just dropped on to you from a long way up and it does take quite a while to get everything back to normal as your entire body has been disrupted.

Sleep is the body's way of recovering and fixing itself (sadly, the heart is the only thing that it can't fix) so if it needs it just let it have it and you will get back on track.

Don't push things. just listen to what your body tells you.

THe lads that served with me in that firefight and close combat laugh at me and pull my leg at reunions and embelish the story that has everybody crying with laughter.

Doctors are right though..... despite all the tablets, betablockers etc.... Laughter is the best medicine.

SO, take it easy and have a very small single malt once a week as medication. It will help and turn what happened into the funniest story you can.

Glad your on the mend TB, the forums wouldn't be the same without ya.

Modern medicine eh, docs always say the cure is worse than the illness however it DOES hopefully beat the alternative.

    Glad your ok good sir.

Hello Everyone .

I write this from a sickbed situation .The recovery phase . My Pacemaker Failed last Saturday and knocked me down hard .  Turns out it was set too low . Thank Goodness I wasn't driving !

Anyway after five and one half days in hospital I am home . Still weak in a way . 10,000 volts will do that to you ! I got the full blast , no pacing  , just Bam ! !

Now have new unit with more fuunctions and it works perfect . Me - Well I feel like I have been run over by a piece of heavy machinery .

I told my Contact person NOT to post till we knew the outcome . I don't ever want to be a downer to my friends .

Anyway , I am back , May be a little slower responding , But I still feel like I am walking around outside my Body . You know weak , and woozy . Shoot , last night I slept 12 hours !

Doctors say it will all pass and that Being as how I drove myself to Emergency  Room myself is unheard of . He said my survival quotion must be very high .

I am glad to be back and missed you all .You would've been confused by my posts anyway . Man , that hospital gots some good " Happy Juice " .

End result - Pacemaker One - 10 for betrayal . Pacemaker -Defibrillator -two -Well , we'll see . Anyway I did not cross over , I just got stalled in traffic .  Doctor said based on tests of the unit , even that company's tech couldn't get it to pace . Full blast or nothing !!

So end of story . You are stuck with me anyway .YAY ! !   Tanker - Builder
