I bet the sergeant incharge of that tank is going to have some serious explaining to do when he gets back to his post.

Turkey is the NATO member with the most Leopard I & II tanks at 791. But I think the Leopard 1 tank in stikpusher‘s posting is like the one below which has the name Sint Joris on the turret and Sint Joris is a village in Belgium.

Saw something on the news a while back about a guy in England that had one and after getting it running got permission to take it to the streets once a week to keep the tank in running condition. He just could not take it on busy streets during rush hours. Bet he turned a few heads.

I wish that I could see something like that here.

Ok, bonus points to anybody here who can ID the nationality of this tank. It has features peculiar to one using NATO army.... yes it is an early Leopard 1...

I just stumbled across this photo on Pinterest and had to share....

Early in my law enforcement career I was told of the “lug nut rule” regarding traffic collisions- the vehicle with the most lug nuts will win in a collision. And I have seen it repeatedly in action since then.

I think that this a perfect example.

A corrolary rule:

Never tangle with a vehicle not owned by it's driver. I remind myself whenever a bus cuts me off.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

So... did the tank driver leave the scene of an accident?  Or did the automobile driver just run away in terror?

A bit of welding, a bit of filler and a bit of paint should fix it! I bet the driver of the tank didn't even feel it!

When i was on my Warrior drivers course, one of the other drivers left track marks down the side of a car while coming round the corner at catterick race course. He knew nothing about it until an off duty squaddie in a car behind caught up with him.

Would have loved to have seen the look on the womans face.

A little body work to knock out a couple dents and they'll be rolling again.
