Tanker - Builder

I would hope they leave her alone .

This is awesome news and the photo is surprising . I do believe that Paul Allen would be proud !

He was proud, I suppose, or at least satisfied. The ship was found last March.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Where were the panel lines and rivets on that aircraft?

The more I have found out about Paul Allen, I have no doubt that the searches will continue.

Thank you Paul Allen and to all his discoveries. Having said that, and now learning of his death, I'm afraid there will be no future searches of naval wrecks, unless there is some passionate bored billionare history buff. He will be missed.

Yes, quite a discovery. This happened in March of this year.

A tribute to the great Paul Allen.

She's 11,000 feet down, where no sunlight ever goes, so marine life is pretty sparce.

Suprising that there's not a lot of marine life growing/living on the wreckage like we typically see.

Thanks,

John

BlackSheepTwoOneFour
Hard to believe the aircraft wreckage colors remained the same as the day she was sunk in May of 1942 during the Battle of the Coral Sea.

That's the first thing I noticed, when I saw the video this morning.

Color's are preserved quite well. And the "Insignia" are still there too.

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

After 76 years, she has been found more than 500 miles off the coast of Australia. Hard to believe the aircraft wreckage colors remained the same as the day she was sunk in May of 1942 during the Battle of the Coral Sea.
