Taken picture's there too ...... mostly shot's of the fence. But I do have one picture of Guard's approching ....., as I ran away...

Please tell me that you have the geo tag location on your camera device turned off. Intel types are good at turning up that sort of stuff. Not to mention those mountains in the background. There are a few more indicators in your photos.

All I can say is, please wait a few weeks before posting such things if you are truly concerned about OPSEC. Been there, done that. 

Got to agree with stik - OPSEC is very serious. This is the kind of stuff that can get you fired, and, even worse, investigated/interrogated by the US Government.

Today, I had a chance to see a Dis-assembled Drone, in it;s shipping contaner. ( I didn;t even ask if I could take picture's .... I figured that would just make them mad at me. )

I'm going to "Try" to build a diorama of it. Just gotta remember what bit's I saw, and where.

I always took my Nikon gear and lenses everywhere even when deployed and I have photos that will never see the light of day, so to speak, and my main "walkabout" lens still shows bullet damage but works fine with no issues or damage to the glass. I could have it repaired, but the cost would be more than a new lens.

It is a genuine Nikkor lens and a fantastic example. My reasoning goes:

I had a Nikkormat with the best lens I've ever owned.

As for Nikon, they have a lifetime warranty pretty much on everything.

My F-in-Law ahd a set of Nikon binoculars that went to Reno with him every year for decades.

Finally, the elements started to get a little loose and it didn't work well.

I sent it back to Nikon. They wrote and said that they hadn't seen a pair of these in so long; they'd really like to keep it for the parts and would give him a new high performance pair. He had no problem with that, and so they did.

Eventually he passed away, I think my B-in-Law has them now.

I think we've given Timmy plenty of grief here! Bigger problems if a set of truck keys with the fob "Little Timmy" is found in the turbine of a jet!

Its not Dreamland from those in the know. Otherwise poor littletimmy would be in a rubber room with some serious characters to play with.

Keep your old lens for the memories. It's been there, done that and has a story to tell.

Pooping and snooping at a mighty 1mph. You sir have concrete stones. Just the kind of man we need for a special mission.

The next time you see a crew with one of those MQ-1Cs ask them if you can see Titan 13 for a decal sheet. If you're really feeling wiley ask them if you can fly one of the UAS simulators. I hear they are a very friendly group and since they are trainers you actually might get some stick time and a lasting memory. There is an unclassified section for visitors so they wont have to gouge your eyes and cut your tongue out.

If your mission succeeds take pictures. Otherwise it never happened.

My 2 cents. I ride by a naval facility regularly my bike rides. Fairly often I will see a warship there in port. And I sometimes take photos of that warship. Two things that I will do, one, not include the hull numbers in the photo, and two, wait several days or even weeks before uploading the photos to my image hosting site. Yeah, I know that satellites can track a ships movements in real time while a ship is in port due to ports being an obvious place to catch them. But just in case, I like to think I’m not helping the other side with my photos. Old Cold War habits die hard...

Thank you !  Like I said, in my previous post, I wasn't photographing anything that the general public did'nt have access to. and yes, my camera "suck's" ( what do ya expect, from a $25 camera...)

 I DO agree with BlackSheepTwoOneFour though, not worth your job and ability to continue working DoD contracts if someone asks what your doing.

No worry's..... It's not as if I was standing there for an hour, waiting for something to "Fly by ". ( But, we do "stand-by" for hour's , waiting for other stuff to move . The Concrete spreading machine  only has a top speed of ONE MPH ! )

But, since you are all concerend about it,  I'll just leave my camera at home.

If anyone really wanted to conduct OSINT gathering it's all out there on Zuckerbergs circus or courtesy of the US Military itself. They learned NOTHING despite our unit's attempts to get them to see the error of their way via JWRACS-Joint Web Risk Assessment Cells. The amount of data that should not be out there is staggering.

And to illustrate what I mean by OSINT and how incredibly easy it is to find for anyone, friend or foe worldwide, there is this fine piece from our friends at Center for the Study of the Drone at Bard College.

Obviously the location of your job site is at or near a military air base in Arizona. Not really much of a secret....

But do heed everyone’s advice. Be careful what photos you take. Personally, I wouldn’t risk my job taking pictures on a military base - between loads or not. But hey, it’s your job, not mine. Just saying....

That's why there are only a few picture's , instead of dozen's. I took them in-between load's. Sometime, in the near future, I plan on doing a day trip when I'm off work. Then I can spend some time and get better picture's.

The general public has access to the same area ( just not as close as I was) and  take picture's all the time. 

I  DID NOT, however, take picture's of the inside of the hanger ( which was full of cool stuff.)

As for not "disclosing" my location, I was just being goofy. ( made it sound like I was doing something Importaint)  Several member's here have already figured it out. There are walking tour's of the base, as well as 2 museum's .... and a Burger King. You check in at the main gate, get your day-pass, and they give you a map and send you on your way.

It's true, that I do have a "Higher" security badge, so I will keep your concerns in mind.

( When I worked at Portland International Airport, you had to have a "note" from God to be anywhere near the runway..... I had that note !)

When ,suddenly. the hanger next to me opened up and several of these appeared...

 

And,... I had to keep ducking this guy all day...

I will be here all week, so I will see what else I can get picture's of... ( like the C-5 Galaxy at the far end of the runway, next to 2 C-130's and 4 Blackhawk helicopter's ..... and some other stuff I cant tell what it is ...

 

 

Looks like you’ve already breached security clearance. Saying you can’t disclose location, yet you still took pictures. Not a wise idea. You’re there to work, not take pictures.

Years ago, stopped under the approach at NAS Moffett Field on a bike ride to watch the P-3s come in.

Got out my little camera and took a few.

Amazing how quickly that conjured up a couple of blue p/u trucks. All had a chuckle, as I was about 10 feet from the shoulder of the 101.

 Been at Sierra Vista,Az. .Town outside of HuaChuca's gates . I have seen the drones take off . Betchya that's where he was. They also have a Balloon detachment there and the things are up every day .Remember in that Town from certain places you can look right into a small Mexican Town on the other side of the border !  T B      P.S.Pictures there are frowned upon for sure !

My son's stationed at Huachuca and belongs to a UAV unit of some type. They few a flag inside the aircraft for my birthday several years ago while they were deployed to A'stan. I got a plaque, the flag and a 'remove before flight" tag from the aircraft. Two confirmed HVT kills on that flight if I recall.
