Saw it last night. I enjoyed it far more than the last two episodes. But not as much as I enjoyed Rogue One. But it certainly was the best of the third trilogy by far.

Rogue One was by far the best SW movie since The Empire Strikes Back. Likewise The Rise of Skywalker was the best of the final three. It tried to "fix" some of the problems created by the mess The Last Jedi was.

It did do one thing that TLJ did; create a stupid plot device in order for our heroes to visit a new world and introduce new characters. In TLJ it was the Casino Royale planet to look for a codebreaker. In TRoS, it was the droid repair dude.

I mean C3PO aka STFU who babbles about translating one trillion languages has to have a plot device added to translate a language. You can eliminate that whole trip by just having him read the writing on the wall. I mean this dude could talk to ewoks in the 80s, and he gets stupid now?

I saw it, I liked it. Will buy the Blue Ray to watch it over again. Lots of stuff going on in the background that I would like to digest.

Who was the girl in the mask to Poe? Smells like another story line??? STAR WARS FAN FOREVER!!

Saw TROS on opening night, loved it.  I was an emotional wreck at the end of it.  I was the target audience for the first Star Wars movie, being 10 years old when I saw it the first time.  Perfect age.  Not too young to be overwhelmed by some of the more violent or scary stuff, and not too old to be "too cool" for a scifi type movie.

Going to see it a second time tomorrow.

I liked the movie, and I think it fixed the damage done in the Last Jedi. I was the target audience for Star Wars 42 years ago. Luke Skywalker was our hero. The Empire Strikes Back made us hate Han Solo because he "stole" the princess from our hero.

Return of the Jedi made us understand that that was a good thing, you know, the whole sister thing we find out about.

But The Last Jedi made our hero, our Luke into a coward and a quitter. That wasn't the Luke that Destroyed the Death Star. That wasn't the Luke that dropped from the platform on Cloud City instead of being turned by Vader. That wasn't the Luke that faced his father and the Emperor on the second Death Star.

The Rise of Skywalker redeemed several characters.

I've gone to see it twice.  JJ did a great job here!  He answered questions and fixe4d what happened in Ep. VIII (sorry if you liked VIII...I don't hate it like others seem to..I'm a SW fan no matter what, but it was not done well IMHO).  Anyway, I really enjoyed this one and agree with Bish it is the best out of this trilogy.  I really enjoyed Han making a cameo and his "I Know" line...brilliant JJ just brilliant!  It was a great movie all around I think.  Can't wait to see how the next generation of SW turns out.  Seeing as Fin is a budding Jedi, who knows where the next trilogy can go.

Love those SW themed 'fridge wraps. Though I'd have went with the battle of Hoth or Lando since he's the coolest guy in the SW universe.

Went and watched it last night, really liked it, for me the best of this trilogy. I thought it was a great way to end it.

"Honey, why has the dog been down in the kitchen growling all night?".

Pretty cool.

I popped smoke at movie number 4.

Second free movie night for me, Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker

I work for GE Appliances and they sponsored a free movie night for employees on Friday to the new Star Wars movie. I really liked it. Some sad parts, lots of old and new Star Wars vehicles, both space and ground.

Worth watching.

We produced some Star Wars themed refrigerators which is just a stainless steel one with wraps on the door.
