I recall reading a few years back that model building was good for countering Alzheimer's and other related diseases. I believe its to do with the thpought process and planning thats required and the need to follow instructions. So when the Mrs complains i am spending to much time at the bench, i have a god excuse.

I'm sure of the therapeutic value, Martin. I'm lucky not to have anything serious going on yet, but I know I feel better when a have a kit in progress and I'm actually working on it. I can attest it can be great for anxiety.

I agree. I can't remember what I did 5 minutes ago but I can tell you the dimensions of quite a few military aircraft

That sounds familiar! Smile

Salsa dancing.

NOT!!!  Stick out tongue

I’ll stick to model building.

Well, some of those dancers sure are attractive, but benchtime is more likely to happen for me. Wink

Greg

I was surprsed to find "building models or miniatures" as suggestion #10 of 41 in this MSN clickbait article titled  "40 hobbies to pick up after 40".

I've seen similar clickbaits, but this is the first hobby-related that included model-building as a suggestion. Surprised me, in a pleasant way.
