My Firefox browser updated itself about three or four days ago. I have have never seen so many popup adds, even though I have selected the tools option to block popups. Has anyone else had this problem with firefox?

I use a Mac and my Firefix seems to be stable. No pop up ads at all. I also use chrome and safari, if one doesn't work for a page another one usually will.
You could get Adblock Plus or something similar.
No. I use addmuncher to block them
I only get pop ups while visiting this site.
AT6 I only get pop ups while visiting this site.
I did notice that I get a lot more on this site, though I still get popups on others. So maybe fsm is at fault for some of them. They are bad, and cover up some of the forum text and I can't get rid of them. It makes it hard to read the forums.
this site seems to be the worse for me. the page is paractically covered - left, right and bottom..... very distracting and difficult to read thre content.
but on thre bright side - maybe if we all start clicking and buying it will increase the ad revenue for fsm which might alllow them to pay the IT guys more which might hopefully lead to them actually fixing some of the issues.
personally im tired of seeing bikini clad bathing suit models, carona masks and gun holsters flashing all over the place!
Keep on modeling!
All the best,
William

I'm with you, so annoying.
I installed AdBlock and it does the trick, but perhaps coincidentally I'm now having issues with my LAN. Printer keeps going offline.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
I use the adblocker with my Firefox and no problems at all. Been using it for years.
Got the same problem. The ads on the right keep slowly getting wider and the ones at the bottom keep getting higher. Have tried to get adblocker several times but it just doesn't seem to want to work. Either that or it's just that this computer illerate old fart is doing something wrong (as usual). Ditto on the bikini clad gals, masks and gun holsters. I don't have anything against them, matter of fact, my wife has been making masks since this thing started, I like bikini clad girls and I have a few gun holsters. But, there's a time and place for everything.

I keep hitting "escape", but I'm still here.
I like the bikini clads on the side. It's the stinking pop up on the bottom of the page.
if you're on a mac w/ safari, on some sites they allow "reader mode" or "reader view", cant remember which its called. It does a good job on getting of or hiding the ads. But, it seems this site, FSM, does not allow its use.... FYI for other sites though.
Was sitting here checking out my usual sites and decided to give getting adblocker put on another try. I started about 1/2 hour ago getting myself into all kinds of trouble on the computer and finding my way back again. All of a sudden I got a different screen that I had'nt seen before and things started falling into place. Then everything stopped and I thought "Oh S***" I'm in trouble now. Only thing I could think of was to get out of where I was fast so I did. Decided to come back here for a while and check around. Guess what? No ads anywhere on the screen! The screen, it's so big! No flashing ads anywhere! I can read the posts easily. They're not squeezed down to 1/3 of the screen. WOW! Guess I hit the right keys somehow. Don't ask me to do it again cause I don't know what I did.
It's adblocker for Google Chrome. The cheap free version. Seems to be doing the job. It's great not having those ads popping up all over the screen all the time.
Things have gone from bad to worse. A Windows 10 update today has just about made my desktop unusable (on my laptop now). Thunderbird email program is even worse. It has even erased my account info. I do not remember my email password, so I will have no email until I can recover or reset my password with my ISP, and that isn't easy. Boy, I'm going to look into Linix again!
