Yup! So easy start something else than complete the last kit.

My main problem is that painting takes so much longer than making (especially the waiting for previous coat/application to dry) and requires more light and heat. So it's easier to build more than gets painted.

In the three years since my wifes fall, I have kind of let other things go while caring for her. My resolution is to square this place away again .  .  . and keep it that way.

Mine is simple, don't make resolutions.  Like the song says, "Don't make promises you can't keep."

We are anticipation a Modelpalooza this year and I still have more building to do.  With all the kits people had started for last year, and what will be built this year, there should be a lot of models on the tables.

Me too!

Past years, whatever I resolved ended up having the exact opposite outcome.  Last year was to model more, and I ended up only modeling a 1/4 of what I had done in the past, and this was with two lock downs.

Mine is another "Shelf of Doom" resolution.  I'm pulling four stalled builds off the shelf and resuming work on them till I finish them:

  • a Fujimi 1/48 P-51D
  • the Minicraft XF5F (a what-if build)
  • Monogram's Lockheed Constellation
  • HobbyCraft's 1/700 USS Arizona 1941, converting to the Pennsylvania in 1935

That last one is the oldest of the bunch.  I started that project back in 2010.

The Mustang and the Connie are assembled but got stalled in the painting process.

Making this resolution will help me focus on these and gives me a goal.

I never have problems making my resolutions.

Mine this year are the same as last year:

1). Eat more unhealthy food.

2). Exercise less.

3). Waste more time watching TV etc instead of doing useful stuff.

Those are some I can get behind, like this Friday and Sunday I managed to waste two entire days doing nothing, except watching football with a little bench time in between eating bad stuff.

My model building resolutions:

To finish more than I buy.  4 days in and I'm doing great. The two that I posted in the latest acquistions thread were purchased last year.

For each new kit that I finish, I'll pull one off the shelf/table/floor of doom and finish.

Since I plan on going to Vegas for the Nationals this year, to actually have a model to enter.

Mine is to continue putting a big dent in the debt hole I have been digging for the last decade.

Considering the Christmas gifts I gave for 2020 were all paid in cash and the payment to offset the purchase has already been made to the credit card company, so far so good.

We only use an American Express card. American Express is a "charge card", not a "credit card". The balance has to be paid off each month.

Last year, I made a resolution to read more. I read probably around 30 some odd books. I'm going to continue that one.
