On some forums there are topics of what vehicles you'vs seen in your daily travels. This though is slightly different..
Whilst talking to friends at our local coffee shop in a small pedestrian mall here near home, Spot came around the corner,
He has just been built by students of The University of Buckingham Computing Faculty. The head of department was just taking it for a walk. People were taken aback as it went through all of it's moves and took photo's on their phones. Technology nowadays is amazing!
Remember , common sense is not common.
Reminds me of the first time I encountered a drone in 'real life,' operated by two engineers surveying in a public park: cool as heck...but kinda like I'd walked into a scene from a Terminator movie....

George Lewis:
I have often wondered;
When they build the four legged drones, why they don't include a naturally placed head. Then it could scan in 360 degrees in Micro-Seconds.
I think most of those are pretty experimental. Once they get the walking perfected I'll be the head and camera will be next.

Thanks guys for your comments and yes they said they are working on fitting a camera at present.
Whatever I may or may not have seen today, it surely wasn't as interesting as watching Spot walk by, must have been, Pat!
PatW Thanks guys for your comments and yes they said they are working on fitting a camera at present.
Yes you right Greg. Talking to his handlers and putting it through various moves was incredible.
I was down near Miramar for an event and saw flights of CH-53s and flights of F-35s. Too slow with the phone to catch them, but really fun to watch.
Thanks,
John
Keavdog,
I live approx. 2 -3 miles from Wittman Field in Oshkosh, WI and their E.A.A. Fly-In starts on Monday. I've been out on my patio watching the small civil aircraft flying over. Can't wait until the Warbirds fly over! Nothing like the sound of either a Merlin or a Pratt-Whitney engine!

There's a lovely J-3 Cub that joyrides over our area almost every morning that I enjoy watching with my coffee on the patio. Later this morning I heard the unmistakable sound of a T-6 and finally spotted him (or her) to the west.
A couple weeks ago I heard a very strange sound and finally spotted a pair of Ospreys.
There are now five, count em, five 'single engine air tankers' at the local airstrip . . . Not a good sign!
But, I sure wish someone would come out with a kit for one!!!
"Why do I do this? Because the money's good, the scenery changes and they let me use explosives, okay?"
I saw a smokey sky! And, I can smell it and am coughing more than usually. Canada seems to welcoming tourists again, but sending us their wildfire smoke
We had a hazy smokey sunset due to smoke drop the wildfires
Looks like you live in a nice area Tojo72, hope those fires aren't too close.
Pat that beastie looks so cool!
I long to live in a world where chickens can cross the road without having their motives questioned
You're getting smoke from the big fires in southern Oregon and northern California for the most part. Canada is adding some
