Hi Ya'll

Some times life hits us in the face with something we cannot ignore. I will not be posting as much for a while. I ran across a friend that hit bottom, health wise, after a disasterous separation from his Missus.

His Hobby Items were the first items she got rid of instead sending them to him. Anyway enough of that. I got him moved in where I live and his health has taken a BIG turn for the better. I will stick like glue till he can walk on his own again and care for himself. What's friend to do? Walk Away? I Don't Think So!

This to me is a travesty. No one should have to face life alone when they cannot fend for themselves through no fault of their own. Right? So I took it upon myself to stand by him. I don't think I did wrong. Modeling has been put on the back burner for now. I'll be back though. I still have to get that new Hasegawa Excavator kit built!

I will say this much, I have learned some not so nice facts about Social Security as well. Not to onk horns. But my healthcare has been way better than his with a health Care plan in place as well. It's designed to work with Soc.Sec.To get you well. If you don't have one you can be caught short on benefits and be sent home before your needed treatment is completed. That's the way it is in No Money Land!

I second chemteach, and add that what you are doing is EXACTLY what friends do for each other. I hope that my future holds someone of your integrity and grit when stuff goes south for me.

You are doing the right thing here. This is what friends are for. Good luck and both of you enjoy each others time and have fun.

I agree with everything that has been said by the others.  I'd like to go one better and try to help your friend.  You mentioned that his ex-wife got rid of his hobby items, is there any way that I can send you some kits for him?  What are his interests as far as modeling subjects?  It'd be a good way to reduce my stash(which would make my wife happy) and a way to help a fellow modeler.  Let me know if I can help.
