So glad that you are doing well and are safe.  Thank you to the people of Poland and the other neighboring countries for helping the people of Ukraine.  I pray every day that this violence ends and a sense of normalacy returns to your country and the others.  Thank you for the pictures of the vehicles too.  They'll be great refernces for anyone who will want to model the effects of this war.

Pawel, thank you for sharing those photos. Those hulks speak volumes for events in Ukraine over the past six months. 

I totaly agree with both Tin Kidwell and Gmorrison. It is sad to see these things happen and the refugees that  have to relocate because of war . But many nations have accepted them with open arms . Powel take care of yourself and your family . I will keep you all in my prayers . Be safe and well.

It's been some time and regrettably the war is still going on with loss of life and no end in sight. The sad but very natural thing is people are gradually getting used to it.

Milions of Ukrainians are living in Poland and some of them will probaly stay for good. Interestingly in some places like shops or in the streets you see signs both in Polish and Ukrainian, or hear announcements in both languages.

One thing got mo to post today - there is an exhibition of destroyed Russian armored vehicles travelling around Polish cities. Now they are in my home town, so I took a few shots and wanted to share them with you as a modelling reference:

Pawel, though we may try, rarely can words adequately express the grief and horror many of us feel when we see what is unfolding in Ukraine, and I do not have the time to ponder my word choice to meet the gravity of this moment for this post. Suffice it to say, unreserved thanks to Poland and other countries whose citizens have opened their arms to accept Ukrainian refugees. And we cannot but hope our various nations can bring this war to a close, sooner rather than later, ending the bloodshed and violence. Be safe. Be well. Take care.

   Stay strong Pawel, I wish I was in a position to offer more than prayers to those displaced as well as those selfless people doing their best to help. We are all effected by this. As stated above you are considered a friend. Thank you for your reports and support.

    I also agree with the majority of members who have posted....the only policy we should debate on the forums is the true color of OD.

Pawel: When I was employed at the University of Idaho Agricultural Experimental Startion at Aberdeen, Idaho, we had a student from Eastern Poland named Tadeuse Beneschavez studing potato cultivation. I wonder if you ever known this person. He speaks almost perfect English. I often wonder how Tadeuse and his family are adjusting to the Ukraine crisis.

Thanks a lot, I'm doing quite all right. In the meantime we have over 2 Millions of refugees from Ukraine - mainly women and children. Even in western Poland where I live you can see them every day and they need help.

It's a little over a week that the war is going on - sure feels a lot longer. Over half a milion of Ukrainian refugees managed to come to Poland and still counting.

And here's an AWACS or a tanker on station right over my home - I've seen something like this for a first time...

Thank you for your prayers and for your kind words.

Right now things calmed down a bit, in Poland at least - the lines at gas stations and grocery stores subsided as people saw there will be no shortages for now. The question is still open as to what is going to happen to the economy.

In the news they say 100 000 refugees from Ukraine are already in Poland or under way. They are going to join many more Ukrainians that are already in Poland working here and looking for better conditions than they had at home. Poland and Ukraine have a complicated history of relations, but now Polish people sympathise with the Ukrainians and try to show support.

And in the news they say Ukraine and especially Kiew is expecting the coming night to be especially tough and maybe decisive as to what is going to happen next.

Hi Pawel, You are in our thoughts and prayers and certainly those in Ukraine that are suffering so much are as well. It has been rather busy in this area lately. Several thousand ground troops and several more F15s have deployed to Poland recently. Hopefully these terrible events will cool off quickly. Stay safe and perhaps some bench time is a good distraction.

Thank you so much for your kind words, they mean a lot to me. The night was quite peaceful in Poland, unlike Ukraine. I read that thousands of refugees are coming to eastern Poland. I wonder what the economy will do now. Until now Poland was getting all the oil and most of the gas from Russia, I wonder if this is going to change now...

Here in the US there are so many people who have family or history back in Europe. We all care A LOT about what happens to you all and keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

One of my current clients has a son and daughter-in-law in Ukraine. He could leave but she couldn't, so they are both still there.

I give her a hug whenever I see her.
